Typically, you will need a minimum limit of $1,000,000 Per Occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
The “Per Occurrence” limit refers to the total maximum amount that the insurance company will pay out for any one claim or occurrence. The “Aggregate” limit refers to the total maximum amount the insurance company will pay out for the entire policy period.
